September 21st-22nd: Participation to a conference and Autumn meeting in Leiden.
June 8th-9th 2017: Our Spring meeting in Leiden was the occasion to discuss and adjust the group’s new research projects. They will be focused on the competitiveness of European legal systems – primarily addressed through Dutch and French systems – regarding the globalisation of the Law, especially when it comes to assessing civil damages.
September 14th-15th 2016: Meeting in Paris, where we were hosted by the Dutch Embassy. Many thanks to the Dutch ambassador and his team for their hospitality and their kind welcome. Marie Leveneur-Azémar defended her PhD thesis on Limitation and Exclusion Clauses at the University of Panthéon-Assas, and is now doctor in Law.
June 20th-22nd 2016: Meeting in Leiden with Ms. C. de Cabarrus, head of the Law of Obligations Department of the French Minstry of Justice, and Ms L. van Hoppe, her counterpart from the Dutch Ministry of Justice. Wouter den Hollander defended his PhD thesis about The Relativity of Statutory Provisions at the University of Leiden, and is now doctor in Law.
May 2016: Candidacy to the Van Gogh grant (Campus France).
April 4th-5th 2016: Meeting at the Laboratoire de sociologie juridique, with Ms. de Cabarrus, head of the Law of Obligations Department of the French Minstry of Justice; publication of proposals regarding the reform of Civil Liability on April 29th. Benjamin Moron-Puech defended his PhD thesis entitled Contract or legal act ? : a study from the medical relationship at the University of Panthéon-Assas, and is now doctor in Law.
January 21st-23rd 2015 : Participation to the Conference Interaction between Legal Systems, in Leiden.
June 16th-17th 2014: Master Class of comparative law at the Residency of the Dutch ambassador in Paris, with lectures by John Cartwright, A.G. Castermans and Bénédicte Fauvarque-Cosson.
